CALLED TO LEAD

Have you ever felt called to something more? Maybe you’ve never thought about going into ministry… Or maybe you feel the call, but aren’t sure where to start. Fortunately, we have just the solution. This Summer, join us at Legacy City Church for our ‘23 Summer Internship or look ahead to the ‘23-24 Year-Long Extended Internship. Info and applications are below!

Summer Internships

We will begin accepting applications for our 2023 Summer Internships in February 2023. The internship will be 10 weeks from June-August.

Extended Internships

The Legacy City Church Extended Internship program is a 9 month journey (from August 2023 - May 2024) of discovering your God given talents, abilities, and call on your life. This is a part-time program that consists of weekly teaching and practical ministry opportunities. You will receive biblical guidance and leadership training from our ministry staff and pastor. The Extended Internship allows for you to be involved in general ministry (like the Summer Internship) or more specialized in the areas listed below.

We encourage anyone ages 18-26 to apply.

After applying, be sure to have TWO church, ministry, or school references fill out and return the Reference Form.

EXTENDED INTERNSHIP MINISTRY OPTIONS

Admin Support

Admin and support is the backbone of the entire church. This intern would work with Campus Support and Host Team to ensure that Sunday mornings are excellent. You would be very involved in planning and implementing special events. Other areas of responsibility will be Missional Communities, Assimilation, Team HQ, Baptism, and Care. This experience will challenge you to grow in your abilities to strategize, develop systems, resource and learn from team leads, and coordinate with multiple teams to achieve goals. We're looking for driven, creative thinkers who can keep a great attitude and handle a variety of responsibilities with excellence and passion.

ForGreenwood

This is a unique role as an internship. There is currently not a staff position for this, although we hope to have one soon. The right applicant would be essentially fulfilling this position, with advisement and guidance from the staff and pastor. Your primary function will be to connect and communicate with our Strategic Partners, help plan and execute Second Sunday Serve events, explore new opportunities to serve our community, communicate opportunities with the church, and drive church involvement. There would likely be opportunities to serve people within the church, as well, as the role develops. This position needs a responsible self-starter and someone who loves this community.

Worship + Production

Is music and/or production your thing? If so, we may have a spot for you. You’ll have the opportunity to play, sing, lead, create, and most importantly, learn what it takes to create an environment that helps introduce people to the real Jesus. The musical side of this internship will require an audition tape.

Creative

As a Creative Intern, you’ll be part of creating stories, graphics, promos, and thematic videos used in weekend services and on social media. Develop your skills in creative development, social media, cinematography, lighting, editing, and motion graphics, while getting to experience life in part-time ministry. This is not just about skills training. You will be developed in leadership and creativity, while growing in your walk with God.

Legacy Kids/Littles

We are all about the Next Generation! Working alongside our Legacy Kids Director, you would have opportunities to help build this crucial ministry. Responsibilities would include connecting with parents, developing lesson plans and object lessons, creating opportunities to engage outside of Sunday mornings, enhancing the provided ministry space, and creating new ways to effectively reach and minister to children. Ministry to children is one of the most important ministries here at Legacy City. We need a committed and excited intern that not only loves kids, but also wants to develop leadership skills when it comes to leading a large team of volunteers and a desire to see “kids ministry” become “family ministry.”

Student Ministry

This is another unique role as an internship. There is currently not a staff position for this, although we hope to have one soon. The right applicant would be essentially fulfilling this position, with advisement and guidance from the staff and pastor. We would provide hands-on experience and equipping for those looking to serve with middle school and high school students. Opportunities will be provided to gain an understanding of the multi-faced components of youth ministry and the unique ways it plays out in a church of missional communities. You should love students, be self-managed, and dependable. Administrative, event planning, and teaching skills are a plus, and will be developed over the internship.
