Verse 1
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measureThat He would give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasureVerse 2
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasureHow great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to gloryVerse 3
Behold the Man up on the cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffersIt was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finishedVerse 4
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrectionWhy should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom -
Pastor: On this day we gather to remember Jesus our Savior who loved us and gave himself for us. Let us draw near in full assurance of God’s endless love and mercy.
Church: We give our thanks and praise to Jesus Christ who carries our sorrows, heals our wounds, and redeems us from sin and death.
P: Today, we reflect on the death of Jesus, when he went out carrying his own cross, to the place of a skull, called in Hebrew, Golgotha.
C: There they crucified him.
P: But this is not a day for mourning - but for awe, wonder, love, and gratitude!
P: All you who bow in reverence
C: Praise Him!P: All you daughters of faith
C: Glorify him!P: All you sons of faith
C: Stand in awe before him.P: Let's stand in reverence and awe and worship him tonight!

Verse 1
I was a wretch
I remember who I was
I was lost I was blind
I was running out of time
Sin separated
The breach was far too wide
But from the far side of the chasm
You held me in Your sightVerse 2
So You made a way
Across the great divide
Left behind Heaven's throne
To build it here insideAnd there at the cross
You paid the debt I owed
Broke my chains freed my soul
For the first time I had hopeChorus
Thank You Jesus
For the blood applied
Thank You Jesus
It has washed me whiteThank You Jesus
You have saved my life
Brought me from the darkness
Into glorious lightVerse 3
You took my place
Laid inside my tomb of sin
You were buried for three days
But then You walked right out againAnd now death has no sting
And life has no end
For I have been transformed
By the blood of the LambChorus
Bridge (x2)
There is nothing stronger
Than the wonder working power
Of the blood the blood
That calls us sons and daughters
We are ransomed by our Father
Through the blood the bloodChorus

Verse 1
Oh, the perfect Son of God
In all His innocence
Here walking in the dirt with you and me
He knows what living is
He's acquainted with our grief
A Man of sorrows, Son of sufferingChorus

How can it be?
That there's a God who weeps
There's a God who bleeds
Oh, praise the One

Verse 1
A great light dawns in Galilee
Some say madman, some say king
Wonder working rebel priest
Jesus Christ the NazareneHe knew well what it would take
To free us all from sin and grave
A perfect man would have to die
And only He could pay that priceChorus
Friday's good 'cause Sunday is coming
Don't lose hope 'cause Sunday is coming
Devil, you're done, you better start running
Friday's good 'cause Sunday is comingVerse 2
So He let those soldiers take Him in
As His friend betrayed Him with a kiss
There before the mocking crowd
Like a lamb to the slaughter didn't make a soundThen He carried that cross to Calvary
And He shed His blood to set us free
As the nails went in and the sky went dark
The redemption of the world was on His heartChorus
Bridge
Then He breathed His last And bowed His head
The Son of God and man was dead
With bloody hands, tears on their face
They laid Him down inside that graveThat wasn't the end That wasn't the end
That wasn't the end
Let me tell you what happened nextVerse 3
The women came before the dawn
To find that stone already gone
When they looked inside the angels said
Why you looking for the livin' among the dead? He's alive! He's alive! Hallelujah He is alive!
Give Him praise! lift Him high! Hallelujah He is alive!
He's alive! He's alive! Hallelujah He is alive!
Give Him praise! lift Him high! Hallelujah He is alive!Ending
Now Jesus reigns upon the throne
All heaven sings to Him alone
We watch and wait Like a bride for a groom
O church arise He's coming soon
